RSD Board Members

Mike Scroggins

RSD Board for 2 terms, has been serving for 6 years.

Education: Graduated from RHS in 1980 and attended 1 year of BYU.

Family: Married to wife, Robin, for 29 years. They have 4 children that have graduated from RHS; Jeremy (his wife, Ginger), Josh, Kyle and Kori, and one grandson, Bronson.

Occupation: Farmer, he grows apples and hay (alfalfa and timothy).

Interests: Enjoy watching children grow up in this community, I personally feel that this school district is a great district to raise a family. We have incredible community support for the school district.

Community: Serve on Church Board (Royal Church of the Nazarene); CHS Sun Basin board member.

Robert "Bob" Murphy

Bob Murphy has experienced a successful career farming on the Royal Slope. He was raised near Royal City along with his 12 siblings. He started school in the first grade at Red Rock Elementary and continued on to graduate at Royal High School. Afterwards he attended Eastern Washington University and went on to become a farmer. He married a local girl, who also graduated from Royal High School, and together they have raised three children.

Murphy's interests include snowmobiling in the winter and learning the game of golf. He has previously served on many committees and boards, but decided to focus his attention toward the Royal School District. He has been a board member since 2003, and looks forward to serving in this capacity for several more years.

Murphy continues to reside and work on the Royal Slope.

Bonney Lynch Brown

RSD Board for 5 terms, has been serving for 18 years.

Education: Graduated from Royal and received BA-Ed. from CWU.

Family: Married 31 years to Spud Brown, with 6 children and a grandson.

Professional: Taught at Royal Middle School, some of the kids in class included two of the current board members, Mike Scroggins and Craig Janett.

I believe in education and strongly encouraged and supported my own children to further their own education careers. 4 of my children have college degrees. When my twin sons graduate this spring from college all 6 of my children will have completed their education. I am so proud of them.

Michael Noftle

Elected to 1st term November 2011.

Craig Janett

Elected to 3rd term November 2011.

Education: Graduate of RSD and a Graduate of WSU, Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Family: Married with 4 children.

Occupation: An Engineer for Manufacturers Representative Company and a Farmer.

Interests: Watching & working with my kids activities, outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, skiing, motorcycles, and snowmobiles.

Professional Items: Born and raised in Royal City, Degree from WSU, worked for Boeing Military Aircraft Co. and Westinghouse Hanford Company.
