    How do we start a new area? It might be good to have grade levels, SPEd, SIOP, etc.

    Monica- We have a blog to post any ideas you have for SIOP ie: lesson plans, the way an strategy went for you etc. Also, if you went to an in-service. conference. or workshop and received any information or worksheet you think others might be able to use, you can post it.

    Didn’t know RSD had a blog until just now when I happened upon it. I am on a committee at Red Rock Elem. that has been discussing how to have better communication among staff members. Having a blog was an item we discussed; no one there at the meeting knew that we already had one in district. I don’t ordinarily check the RSD Homepage as a matter of course, so I didn’t know about the blog. Obviously, I am not the only one who didn’t know. Perhaps, in the future, an email advisory could be sent out about the implementation of new features.

    Lora Jo and Staff,

    I am sorry we did not relay the information to the elementary staff in a timely fashion. The blog was a last minute addition asked for by certain members of the Staff and our Administration. Adam was able to get it up and running fairly quickly and we were hoping the Staff would look into its use this year and provide us with input as to how it can best serve the District’s needs. Please feel free to send us your suggestions. We plan to provide Staff some training on how to use the Blog and look forward to working with everyone to make this a helpful and worthwhile educational tool.

    I have signed up for the Summer Institute in Moses lake the week of June 16-20. Anyone else going? It looks like a lot of good stuff will be offered.
